Serial murderers -
perspective
psychological-criminological
A serial killer is defined as someone who has committed murder at least three times. Each murder is preceded by a period of calm, which is individual for each of the perpetrators of the crime. The break in committing another murder can last from a few hours to several or even a dozen years. The term "serial killer" appeared in the late 19th century and was first used to describe the criminal activity of Henry Howard Holmes.
Information:
Who are the people who can kill strangers in cold blood? There are few topics that function in the public sphere that simultaneously cause misunderstanding, interest, internal opposition, disgust, a desire for justice for the victim and punishment for the perpetrator, like murderers and their crimes. "For murder, though it has no language, can speak in a miraculous way." These words spoken by Hamlet may refer to the number of questions left unanswered each time a murder has been reported by the media. So who are they really? Is the murderer created by biological determinism or perhaps the external environment? What is the influence of family, friends, acquaintances? Can traumatic experiences affect the "decision" to commit a crime? There are many such questions, unfortunately science does not have definitive answers to all of them. The findings that are already known will be presented during the training on serial murderers. We will focus mainly on serial murders, but for a better understanding of the presented topic, we will also touch on the issues of single, multiple and mass murders.
