Juvenile perpetrators of murder -
perspective
socio-psychological
Innocent faces, sincere smiles, childlike glances – that's what you might think when you look at their photos. The reality in their case turns out to be completely different. These innocent children, aged just a dozen or so, sometimes a few years old, became the authors of brutal, blood-curdling crimes.
"The perpetrators of the brutal murder of a 2-year-old have been caught... they are only 10 and 9 years old."
"The youngest sexually motivated murderer in Europe was 13 years old at the time of the murder",
"He killed three children by the age of 8, making him likely the youngest serial killer in history."
These are just some of the headlines of articles describing crimes committed by minors. In the presented training, we will provide knowledge that allows for understanding not so much the perpetrator himself, but the mechanisms that were behind his crime.
Information:
Born killers or simply children susceptible to bad influences? What makes young people and sometimes even children under 10 so easily commit crimes, violence and even murder? Who is responsible for this? Family environment or rather peers? Or perhaps pop culture... brutal films and a hundred times more brutal computer games in which a child can take on any character and their behavior is limited only by the plot and the imagination of the creators. Some people are looking for answers in other directions and are investigating whether genes are not responsible for acts of aggression, including brutal acts that are often senseless and unjustified from the point of view of the perpetrator of the murder. We will try to answer these and other questions using existing theories and research on juvenile delinquency.
