Stalking
Stalking by definition is persistent persecution or harassment, which can take various forms that can be described using the perpetrator's behavioral manifestations. The most common include sending letters or text messages, sending unwanted gifts, persistent phone calls, following, provoking "accidental" meetings. Stalking can have a devastating effect on both the mental and physical condition of the victim, as well as on their perception of social space and relationships with other people.

Stalking, the extended meaning of this word, will mean persecution of a continuous nature, resulting in a number of negative consequences both in the psychological and physical sphere of the stalker's victim. Stalking itself can take various forms, it can start with almost imperceptible gestures of the stalker and after a short time turn into a series of behaviors that turns the victim's peaceful life into a real hell. Any of us can be a victim of stalking and, contrary to popular opinion, it does not apply only to people from the so-called "front pages of newspapers". Thanks to the knowledge provided during the training, the participant will be able to, among other things: learn to recognize stalking, get to know the elements of stalking, learn about the scale of the phenomenon based on collected data and experiences, determine the way the stalker operates, recognize the expectations of stalking victims towards police officers, recognize the situation of first contact with a stalking victim, learn to distinguish false reports and differentiate between stalking and other crimes.
Training objective:
The aim of the training is to familiarize the participant with the issues related to the phenomenon of stalking in legal and psychological terms. The knowledge provided during the training can find a wide application, among others: in psychological and forensic opinions, psychological diagnostics, preparation of expert opinions in the field of psychology, in particular investigative psychology.

Stalking - history, basic assumptions, scale of the phenomenon, risk groups. Stalker profile - personality traits. Stalking in the Polish Penal Code - forms of stalking. Persistent harassment - what to look for, how to gather evidence, what to provide to law enforcement agencies. Dealing with a stalker. What is the role of a forensic psychologist in stalking cases - (what do we profile?). How to estimate the risk of suicide and escalation of violence. Risk assessment concerns: risk of suicide by victims, risk of suicide by a stalker. Relationship between personality disorders and intrusive behavior. Methods and tools to determine stalking in a given situation.
